How public libraries are evolving to meet patrons’ needs in the digital age

Administered via library websites, the survey collected input from 16,756 respondents. This report will utilize this data to examine the positive effect the shift to digital content has had on the role of libraries in their communities by helping attract new readers, serve existing patrons better and reach beyond their physical walls.

Expert Merchandizing Tips from Toronto

Last month Maria Cipriano, a Collections Librarian and Electronic and Online resources manager for Toronto Public Library, found herself at the podium at the 2015 Digipalooza Conference to speak about the experience her library has had merchandizing their OverDrive collection with the curation tool in Marketplace. Maria said that you know she feels pretty strongly about something if she has agreed to overcome her immense fear of public speaking to address a group about it. Read more…
