[Lswtalk] August 2017 Meeting

I checked with Debbie first to see if it was ok with her and it is, checking now to see if it would be ok with the group as a whole.  I’d like to invite Katelin to ride with me and Wes to the August meeting so that she could meet Debbie, visit the archives area, tour the library, and possibly have lunch with the group in the cafeteria.  She would not actually attend the meeting.

 

Please let me know if you have any objections.  Katelin is the archives SLIS student I told you all about at the last meeting.  She is doing a records internship with me helping me get our records organized, etc.

Hi Everyone,

 

Happy Friday!  It was great to see all of you this week.

 

The August meeting will be held at Frazar Memorial Library on Wednesday August 9, 2017 in the McNeese Room. [Same Bat Time, New Bat CaveJ]

 

The Library's address is 300 Beauregard Drive Lake Charles, LA 70609.  In addition you will need to stop at University Police located at 4314 Ryan Street to obtain a visitor's parking pass in order to park in the parking lot in front of the library.

 

Regarding lunch Chartwells/the cafeteria will be open and we can have a very broad and diverse menu for $7.00 per person.  This is only a suggestion.  If you would like for me to arrange for a different lunch venue, please share.

 

Lastly, there will be tours of our library so wear your comfy walking shoes.  Please contact me as needed regarding any questions, comments, concerns, etc.

 

I am looking forward to seeing everyone in August.
