[Lswtalk] FW: Get a Library Card Follow Up: LSW Consortium

Hi all,

We here at CPPL are interested in piloting Overdrive’s Get a Library Card program.

I agree there are many unanswered questions about the program, but I don’t think we’ll know the answers to these questions unless we go through it ourselves. We won’t know potential costs or how they might be reported, divided, or paid until we pilot the program. Trailing the program will also give us an opportunity to provide feedback to Overdrive for future improvements.

I don’t want us to just jump into it without planning and sorting out how it’ll work, but I do want us to give the 90-day free trial a good, honest try.

Margie

Without the ability to determine which parish / library system should "pick up the tab" on any given new customer charge after the free trial, I would say no at this point.
