Hi Linda, 

 

I am so sorry I will be unable to attend tomorrow. I have to go to Baton
Rouge for a Board of Regents formula funding meeting. 

 

I met with Margie today about the financials. Checks have been written to
Calcasieu for Overdrive, to our scholarship winners, and to L'Auberge for
hotel rooms. 

 

I spoke with both scholarship winners today, and they're grateful for the
awards and plan on attending the dinner. 

 

Margie and I agreed it would be helpful for us to meet with Mr. Broussard,
the accountant downtown that I spoke with several years ago about our
organization's status. I will make an appointment with him. I am not
communicating clearly to Margie about why we do things the way we do, and I
think he can help. 

 

I hope everyone has a great time tomorrow! I wish I could be there. I hope
you're doing well this week...been thinking about you.

So glad to be able to offer my home this coming Wednesday!   We hope to hear
about digital signs.  The representative cannot make it, but she has made
contact with Margie & Loretta at Calcasieu.   Her signs are mainly in
Calcasieu....and one in Jennings.   So, further discussion is needed if any
of you have other ideas in your areas for digital signs.

 

I apologize for Beth Ferguson not knowing about the cancellation of last
week's meeting.  I have added Margie Mealer (Evangeline) & Beth Ferguson to
this email.  Hopefully, you ladies are already in the LibSW email account.

 

Greg will be grilling hamburgers & chicken breasts.  I am also making my
favorite Spinach and Artichoke Dip.   Desserts, coffee, cold drinks, tea &
more.   Time to retreat from reality and enjoy our friendships.

 

Cannot wait to see all of you.
