The Vernon Parish Library is pleased to host Louisiana Author, Curt Iles, Dry Creek, La., Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Library's meeting room.
Deep Roots: Stories that Matter, the newest book by local author Curt lIes is written in the style loved by readers of his previous seven books. Through his writing Curt cele­brates the people, places, and history of rural Louisiana. People all over America are enjoying stories that matter, stories of family, faith, foundations, and friends. 
Curt is also a talented speaker who enjoys traveling, telling stories, and making new friends. A graduate of Louisiana College and McNeese State University, Curt switched from student to teacher, coach, and school administrator of East Beauregard High School. Before he became a full time author Curt was director of Dry Creek Baptist Camp, a year round youth camp and conference center. 
Curt writes from his hometown of Dry Creek, Louisiana. He and his wife of thirty years, DeDe, are parents of three boys and several grandchildren. His goal for life is "to be a man God can use and be respected by my wife and fam­ily."
