Sorry for the mistake!

The Vernon Parish Library will celebrate National Library Week, April
10-16, 2016. This year is the 60th anniversary of the Library, which was
founded in 1956. It was housed in the Vernon Parish Courthouse, and then
located in the first building on courthouse square built in 1956. The
current 20,000 sq. ft. building was built in 1995. And this is also the
20th anniversary as a Federal Depository Library.

The Library will host an Open House and Coffee Thursday, April 14, 2016
from 2 to 4 p.m. A display of items from the Archive Collection will be on
display, along with various documents from the Depository Collection. A
tour of the Library and Mobile Branch will also be available.

Everyone is invited to view these items from the Archives, and learn of the
many services of the Library.

April 18 at 7 p.m. Neal Bertrand, author of Dad's War photos, adventures in
the South Pacific will be in the meeting room to present a program and
autograph copies of his new book.
