cAos is actually an umbrella for several different projects. The EL project
shares many goals with White Box, and indeed there is significant desire
from the cAos community to want to collaborate with White Box. I don't know
if that will happen, though, based largely on differences in the primary
channels of communication (White Box seems to favor mailing lists while cAos
works primarily in IRC).

The cAos GP project, which is due to have its first beta release
RealSoonNow, is more of a cutting edge desktop distro that is a fork from
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1. GP, however, is a strong departure from RHEL
and has some really innovative new features of its own. For example,
cAos1-GP has dumped the Anaconda installer in favor of something totally new
and based on yum.

The cAos1-EL is basically RHEL 2.1 stripped of verboten trademarks.
cAos2-EL is RHEL 3.0 similarly stripped. You can see why there might be
some interest in collaboration between cAos*-EL and White Box.
