 hen setting up up2date, the /etc/sysconfig/rhn/up2date config file =
contains references to xlmrpc.rhn.redhat.com/XMLRPC in a couple places.

I'm not sure what this does (in the current up2date incarnation).

xlmrpc.rhn.redhat.com/XMLRPC is the url to a xmlrpc server that is =
responding to client requests by up2date. The up2date utilities =
communications is based
on xml-rpc protocol (www.xmlrpc.com)
