That's really odd, that the check would find the CD okay and it wasn't.
Makes me glad I never bother ;-)

I do read and md5sum the image back off the CD when I burn it. Those
with cdrtools might want to do a c2scan on a critical CD and see how
good it is before ECC fixes it.
