[WBEL-users] Update WBL with apt RHEL repositories

You can use the RHEL apt-get repository ... the problem will be that the
updates may contain items that should be removed (ie, trademark
information), or something that is not compatible (ie, up2date/yum
updates).

So far, every errata that has been released for RHEL has been in the
up2date repository very quickly. (And a message has usually been sent
to the WBEL Announcement List, usually on the next day after it is
released from RedHat).

Here is the errata update website for RHEL AS 3 ...
https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/rhel3as-errata.html

As I write this, there is an update for lftp that was released on
12/16/03 from redhat ... and there is a package in the up2date
repositories for WBEL (the primary mirror create date/time is 12/17/2003
09:50:00 AM), but there wasn't an announcement in the WBEL Announce
list). So if you were using WBEL's up2date you would have gotten the
lftp update the next day.

If you subscribe to the RedHat Enterprise watch-list you can get the
update information straight from RedHat.
