You might try using a tool like described here:

I'm pretty sure I've used cpanflute, or a derivative of this at some
point in the past to install perl modules I needed, in this case, I
used it to install the modules via RPM for non-RPM perl packages,
just so I could keep track of the dependencies without learning the
details of CPAN.

I could have sworn there was one that was easier to use on from the
command line.  All you had to do was tell it the name of the CPAN
modules and it built it for you with the newest modules at CPAN.
