Oracle use lots of RAM, but I doubt that you would require twice that in
swap. 32 gigs swap is a bit OTT.=20
Starting with 4gigs sounds sensible. But monitor the situation because
if you run out of SWAP, and then the system _needs_ to swap then you
could be looking at a kernel panic.=20
It will likely start with some zombie processes and eventually bork.=20
Also, what kernel will you be running? There are kswapd issues in the
"supported" kernels (oracle supported), 2.4.21-15EL and 2.4.21-20EL. So
watch the swappiness.=20
But since Oracle only support RHEL and I doubt WBEL, then you can safely
upgrade to the latest 2.4.21-27EL and be done with it.=20
