Hi,

Updating the arts package arts-1.1.3-2.3.i386.rpm, I've just gotten
the following message:

Resolving·dependencies
......Unable to satisfy dependencies
Package arts needs libmad.so.0, this is not available.

Trying to remove the arts package is in fact not possible just because
there are important packages that depends on it:

(n.t: dependecias = dependencies)

[dependencias:·gstreamer-plugins 0.6.0-14.i386]
[dependencias:·kde-i18n-Spanish 1:3.1.3-1.noarch]
[dependencias:·libao 0.8.3-3.i386]
[dependencias:·gaim 1:1.0.1-1.RHEL3.i386]
[dependencias:·gnome-media 2.2.1.1-4.i386]
[dependencias:·vorbis-tools 1:1.0-6.i386]
[dependencias:·kdelibs 6:3.1.3-6.6.i386]
[dependencias:·kdebase 6:3.1.3-5.4.i386]
[dependencias:·xmms 1:1.2.7-22.1.p.i386]
[dependencias:·nautilus-media 0.2.1-5.1E.i386]

I've just installed the package libmad-0.15.1-0.b.rhel3.dag.i386.rpm
and now the arts package don't complain about dependencies.

Is this a good solution or workaround to the problem?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Best Regards and nice weekend,
Pedro Cañadilla.
