NEW HOME
==============================================================================
Party Updates has completed its transition to a new, stable home, and is
now on its own domain, party-updates.net. Site documentation is still
being written, but a howto is available at http://www.party-updates.net/

RED HAT ENTERPRISE LINUX 3 UPDATES AVAILABLE
==============================================================================
In addition to the classic RHL security updates, Party Updates is now
carrying Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 updates for i386 and x86_64. These
updates are designed for the official RHEL3 distro, but should also work
on White Box Enterprise Linux. Updates are split into 4 channels:
Security Updates, Bug Fixes, Enhancements and Release Packages. Release
Packages contain the redhat-release packages, and is recommended for all
RHEL installations. From there, you can choose what sort of updates you
wish to receive.

UPDATED RHL SECURITY PACKAGES AVAILABLE
==============================================================================
New announcement protocols are being developed, but in the meantime I
wanted to let you know that there are new RHL security updates for
slocate, mc, mutt and util-linux packages. Please update your systems
as soon as possible.

MIRROR PROVIDERS WANTED
==============================================================================
Party Updates is looking for official mirror providers to be entered
into the main rotation. Mirrors web-based only and is relatively low
traffic. Currently, the RHEL repository takes up about 1.4GB. If you
are interested in becoming an official mirror provider, please contact
party-updates@arrrrrr.com

In addition, if you administer a large number of legacy RHL machines
that need updates, and wish to maintain a local mirror, please contact
party-updates@arrrrrr.com and mention that you wish to privately mirror
Party Updates.

Whatever you do, please DO NOT use a web-based mirror utility such as
wget to slurp the Party Updates repository. Party Updates makes
extensive use of symbolic links, and trying to mirror Party Updates via
wget would result in transferring about 5GB of data.
