Just thought I'd confirm that I'm getting Error 2's when I try to compile the 
kernel or kernel modules  - I had just assumed that it was 'finger trouble' 
(i.e. just me doing something daft...) but as Alan is having problems, could 
someone else possibly check to see if we are both going nuts - or if the 
problem is real?


On Whitebox ES 3.0u2 (respin1) 32bit
Dual Opteron 246, 1GB RAM

make clean && make mrproper 
make xconfig
(and load configs/kernel-2.4.21-athlon-smp.config)
make -j2 dep && make -j2 bzImage

....
