I currently build from a chroot environment built by basically just
installing all of the RPMS.  The only things it doesn't do is install a
boot loader or configure X.  It would be a good experiment to run my
script, dump the resulting filesystem to a partition, chroot in and make
it bootable and then find out if it runs.
