Granted, I only started using NFS today, but I have had flawless 
performance from NFS so far in transfering quite a large amount of 
files.  I'd say this bug, if it is one, is very situational given my 
experiences so far.  I'm not sure if I can offer any help, as you 
probably know much more about it than I do, but just thought Id let you 
know that so far, it seems to work well for me.
