Yep, I can confirm even with the newest version.  I would suggest filing a
RFE in Redhat's bugzilla.  Knowing how rhn-applet uses the header info I'm
not sure how soon you would see it implemented.

I again suggest grabbing a newer version of rhn-applet and using the yum
directory support.
