It's was glitch on one of the primary mirrors that several other mirrors
use. This caused updates to disappear from a number of mirrors.

It's still ongoing ... from what I understand John is just really busy
right now with other things and there are no major security updates out
that have not been pushed out. The remaining updates are pending John
getting some time to rebuild them and possibly do a respin also.

Depends on your disposition, I don't believe anybody is advocating
jumping ship en-mass right now.

The are quite a few people that are "happy" with the situation and are
willing to wait for John manages to build the missing updates. There are
some that are worried about the situation and want John to accept 3rd
party help to help get things done faster.

I guess if your seriously concerned about the timeliness and
availability of updates then one of the other respins of RHEL are
probably better for you.

Personally, I'm in wait and see mode with some investigation into other
distros in the unlikely case that things start falling apart. I feel
that would be a shame since WBEL has some decent momentum behind it.
