We are using Whitebox for network file storage via samba. We authenticate off
the Windows domain. The 800 or so users have userdirectory web pages, and this
machine serves them up via apache. We are a laptop school, and the server sees
hard use with students using the various resources.

This seems like a mid-to-enterprise level install to me.

We could not be happier. This machine has been the energizer bunny of servers.
We have a minimal installation with no gui and all the services we don't need
turned off. 

It just works.
