[WBEL-users] up2date is statying toooo looonnnnggg

hello to all im new in this group. i just installed WBEL respin1 and
just want to know if there any alternative way to update my new WBEL
installed pc.. it stays 20 minutes now in getting the headers.. 

i have instlled several linux fedora and i am not using up2date .. i am
using apt-get and of not using synaptic .. can i install the apt-get of
fedora core2 release into my WBEL system ??
