OK, fundamental issue here. No device seen.
So. You may need to add "hd(x)=ide-scsi" to you bootloader. Or its
physically not connected :)

Try installing cdrecord from rpm, and do:

# cdrecord -scanbus

This will most likely detect the drive for you, then re-cat
/proc/scsi/scsi and you should see it.
