[WBEL-users] Login error ! for some users on a White box system ?

I have a system where some uses (approx 10%) get the following error
"artsmessage" "Sound server fatal error" "/tmp/mcop-user.name is not owned
by user" when they logon to KDE.
When I check the /tmp/mcop-user.name directory is is not owned by the user
who created the directory !

This is a fairly standard Whitebox install, with NO sound required !

Any clues ?
