The speed improvement of em64t, will probably be about the same as you
get with AMD64 technology (probably a bit less though..). And if you see
benchmarks of software compiled 64bit vs. 32bit for these two platforms,
it shows quiet some improvement. Not sure how much though. I wish I had
one so I could test it out for you :)
