The problem is, if the security update isn't released 15 minutes after
it's out on RHEL, 100 people complain that the updates are not happening
fast enough.  Now there is another group who want to not do the updates
as fast as they currently get out...anyone else see the problem
here :) ?

I think that the updates should be done as soon as possible after the
release ... AND that people who want to wait should update their boxes
only when they are comfortable.  This solves both problems, the guys who
want to update everything now can ... the ones who don't want to can
wait.

That is my $0.02 :)
