Getting off of a mailing list has nothing at all to do with linux.

There is a link at the bottom of every e-mail in the list. goto that
link and at the very bottom of the page there is an "unsubscribe or edit
options". Enter your e-mail address there and click the button.

Then click "Unsubscribe" on the next page.
