Yes - WBEL is recompiled from RHEL sources.

The latest WBEL kernel is kernel-2.4.21-27. WBEL takes no initiative -
it slavishly tracks RHEL - deliberately.

Compile one yourself ? I compiled one for my laptop, from 2.6.8.

Other than the kernel, all other packages are WBEL.

lm_sensors is kernel-specific, I think. You will need to compile one for
your new kernel.
