In my opinion your issue is with the Maxtor drives. I've had three of
them fail in the last year. I have multiple boxes with identical
configurations, but differant drives. It is only the Maxtor drives that
fail.
I don't use Maxtor drives any more, and I don't have any more drive
problems.
