[WBEL-users] PCMCIA taking for - ev - er to initialize (and other boot issues on WBEL4)

When I boot up this laptop, it does a few funky things. The first is
that when it gets to initializing PCMCIA, it takes so long that rhgb
pops up the virtual console, and then, if I'm cold-booting, it will
actually switch back to the text-based console. Once it starts
successfully (as it does, eventually), rhgb comes back up with its
graphical boot, and all is fine. Should it take that long?

The second issue is an error I see just before the "Red Hat nash
x.x..x.x starting...". It says "powernow-k8: vid trans failed 0x01,
0x02", then on the next line, "powernow-k8: frequency transition
failed". Any ideas what that means? Is this causing other problems
(like PCMCIA taking a while to load)?

Thanks - just for fun, here's the output from /sbin/lspci... (It may
wrap - a similar, unwrapped output can be found at
http://www.djs-consulting.com/linux/averatec_6200.php .)
