[WBEL-users] loadable module n_hdlc

Hi all,

I'm trying to get an adsl modem to work.  I succeeded using the eciadsl
package.  First of all, as anyone done this with WBEL 3.0?

The diagnostic program says HDLC support is missing, and modprobe
can't find module n_hdlc.

Is there a simple way to make it consistent with a vanilla WBEL 3?
Like to change to the kernel source and 'make modules'?  It's been
ages since I made a linux kernel....

Where do I find a description of how to safely test a new kernel?
