2GB is lot memory. X86_64 don't work in smp mode and in single mode one cpu is detected.

Yes we use the standard i386 OS on 1850's. The x86_64 is, I believe,
only useful if you have *lots* of memory. If someone is more
knowledgable in these matters let us know.
