There is no need for a fix, as it's a bogus warning.

read the RHEL3 bug report about the issue.

Redhat patches WU imap/ipop3d to use a different mechanism for locking,
and apparently forgot to remove the warning.  If you wish to remove the
warning there is a simple fix in the bug report of creating and adding
to a /etc/c-client.cf file.
