yep had read that page but when i tried the answer

If the driver is set up correctly, run "pppsetup" to configure your connection, then "ppp-go" to connect.

ppsetup or ppp-go dont work says they dont exist.

found anther page that said do a cat /proc/pci
and that gave me

bus: 1 Device: 5 Function: 0
Class 0703 pcidevice 14e4:4212(rev 2).
Irq 201
mastercapable latency=64
non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xfe9fd000(0xfe9fdfff)
I/O at 0xdff0[0xdfff]

so they suggested to do the following

cd /dev -c ttyS3 || ./MAKEDEV ttyS3; chmod 666 /dev/ttyS3
setserial /dev/ttyS3 uart 16550a port 0x4212 irq 201 baud_base 921600 spd_vhi skip_test
ln -sf /dev/ttyS3 dev/modem

and this sorta worked it made it so Kppp could see the modem
BUT... when it went to use it said it was currently busy
which it was not.
So i think something is wrong somewere but im still to new to linux
to know were.
