Hi all,
The last Lynda Carlberg Award was presented to Lyle Johnson at the Awards Ceremony in 2014. It was presented last after all others were given and he did make a short speech I believe after Trudy Patterson’s presentation to him. I’m not sure if it was also mentioned at the Public/Trustee Luncheon (if it was, it was not stated on the printed program).
I’m making a note to include this year’s recipient as well. Linda, I assume you will present the award to Amanda this time and you all will handle ordering and bringing the award?
Thanks,

If I remember right. The person receiving this award was recognized in the audience, but did not come to the podium, but I thought it was at the Public/Trustee Luncheon. I'll find out where the person was recognized.

Okay. I am cc’ing Amber and Paula about this now, but please e-mail me a reminder in early January so that we can be sure to get you on the agenda for the awards ceremony. Please refresh my memory: does the author usually appear, or do you simply make an announcement?

Elissa ,
Whom would I speak with about getting on the agenda at the LLA Convention. Amanda Taylor will receive the Lynda Carlberg Award at our annual Author Dinner in October. Libraries Southwest would like her recognized at the state level.
We were allowed to do this in previous years.
Please advise.
