that's why that problem looked so familiar tonight when I ran into it; I
probably read about it on the Fedora list a few weeks back. 

Or a slightly off-topic subject, anyone knows if up2date uses the actual
yum and apt commands to run?  Or if it deals with the repository format
internally? i.e, do I need to install an apt rpm package to be able to
use up2date with an apt repo?
