[WBEL-users] Promise Fasttrack100 non-RAID support

I've been looking at Whitebox and am considering it for one of my boxes 
here. Only thing I need to know before switching is this :

Does the stock kernel automatically detect the Promise Fasttrack100 IDE 
controller, and can I use disks hooked up to it in non-RAID mode with it 
without too much configuration headaches?
