Hi all,

I have a problem with my modem which hangs-up automatically and I don't =
know why. When I configured my internet connexion, I set the hangup =
timeout to 600.

On the system log, I receive :
=20
pppd[6154]: Hangup (SIGHUP)
pppd[6154]: Modem hangup
pppd[6154]: Connection terminated
pppd[6154]: Connect time 2.1 minutes (this connection time is =
never the same)
pppd[6154]: sent 16285 bytes, received 206294 bytes
/etc/hotplug/net.agent: NET unregister event not supported
su(pam_unix)[6314]: session opened for user root
su(pam_unix)[6314]: session closed for user root
modprobe: modprobe: can't locate module ppp0
pppd[6154]: Exit.

Any idea about the cause? Can it come from my modem or is it pppd which =
hangsup (or another process) ??
It's really a problem because without it, I can't perform updates and =
so, i can't use WBEL to make a server

Thanks for any help.

Jean
