To date, I've had no problems with RH9 RPMs running on my machine -
GQView, XChat, and such. I hit FreshRPMs.net for apt-get, and have used
that to add MPlayer and Xine to my machine (MPlayer doesn't seem to have
sound, but Xine works beautifully), and MP3 capability for XMMS and
mpg123.

"Dag", who I can't remember how I found his repository, also has RH9 and
RHEL3 RPMs apt-gettable, along with a link to other repositories.

I'm going to have a discussion tonight with someone, since my laptop is
short of HD space, so I didn't put on the compile chain, and get my
ltmodem working, I hope. I'll make that package available.
