I have WBEL3 on a dual-Athlon machine that I use, among other things, as a
print server. I've noticed in the past that, intermittantly, the samba
daemon would not turn on. In the past, if I rebooted, it would be enough
to get Samba daemon to turn on. As of yesterday, nothing I do can get
Samba to turn on. when I do a "/etc/init.d/smb status", I get the
following:
smbd dead but pid file exists
nmbd (pid 4787) is running...
Anyone have any thoughts as to how to fix my dead smb daemon? Thanks!
