I may have been incorrect ... IF you have the EM64T Xeon Processor
2.8Ghz processor
(http://www.intel.com/products/server/processors/server/pentium4/index.htm) you should be using the x86_64 ... if you have the nonEM64T Xeon (http://www.intel.com/products/server/processors/server/xeon/index.htm?iid=ipp_srvr_proc+xeon512kb&), you should use i686.
