Hi All
this one a funny 1 not sure why tar is doing this if you look at
the date you will see 1970-01-01 10:00:00
if some know if this can be fix to show the right date
[backupserver@lexx backup]$ tar -Svvcf /dev/st0 -V "TEST" --totals
tape-only.sh
V--------- 0/0 0 1970-01-01 10:00:00 TEST--Volume Header--
-rwxr-xr-x backupserver/backupserver 2012 2004-10-25 11:39:29
tape-only.sh Total bytes written: 10240 (10kB, 538B/s)

A bug can be changed to a feature by documenting it.
