Ok I redid a recompile and now when I reboot
I get: "File not found /bzImage2.4.21 ro root=LABEL=/ hdg=ide=scsi"
> I double and tripled checked my /boot directory and my syntax
and I don't understand why I'm getting this error.
my grub.conf file:
# grub.conf generated by anaconda
#
# Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this
file
# NOTICE: You have a /boot partition. This means that
# all kernel and initrd paths are relative to /boot/, eg.
# root (hd1,0)
# kernel /vmlinuz-version ro root=/dev/hdf2
# initrd /initrd-version.img
#boot=/dev/hde
default=0
timeout=10
splashimage=(hd1,0)/grub/splash.xpm.gz
title White Box Enterprise Linux (2.4.21-15.EL)
root (hd1,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.21-15.EL ro root=LABEL=/ hdg=ide-scsi
initrd /initrd-2.4.21-15.EL.img
title White Box 3
root (hd1,0)
kernel /bzImage2.4.21 ro root=LABEL=/ hdg=ide=scsi
initrd /thirdinitrd-image
title DOS
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
chainloader +1
I'm following the directions in the 'Red Hat Linux Bible' (Fedora and
Enterprise edition) on page 970
and page 65(Grub).
