Not sure if the fix is in - but you might try getting the torrent, 
putting what you have in a subdirectory to match the torrent (start it 
up, and it'll make the directories for you), and letting BT fix up the 
errors.  Shouldn't be too much - should be do-able even over dial-up, 
uless the damage is fairly severe, in which case we need to examine why 
(FTP from one of the mirrors being done in text mode, perhaps?)
