I am no expert on these things but when I am setting up multiple
addresses on a system I never put the gatewayaddress on a nic via ifcfg-
ethx

I always set
GATEWAYDEV=ethx
GATEWAY=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

in /etc/sysconfig/network
