[WBEL-users] Problems with the automounter

I installed on a machine that I have connected to NIS

The automounter is running and allows me to get to any automounted
directory like /home/abc or /srvrauto/abcdef, but the problem is when I
get there I cannot use ls.  If I try I get the following

ls: reading directory .: Invalid argument

If I try ls /home/m216311 then I get

ls: reading directory /home/m216311: Invalid argument

ls works on any local filesystem

Any thoughts?
