This is asked many times.

The whole point of RHES3 and hence WBEL is to have a stable release. So 
you will not have the latest and greatest kernel, but the most stable 
and tested release that RedHat is happy with.

WBEL/RHES is for Enterprise rollouts without the worries of bleeding 
edge software. If you want to sleep nights keep to the stock kernel.

If this isn't your concern, but you want the latest/greatest then look 
more to Fedora rather than WBEL.
