Hmm, I've had no problems whatsoever on PE1750's...
Just downloaded om420_lnx_managed_system_A00.tar.gz (there might be a 
newer one out), untarred it, and ran I think start.sh -license (-noweb 
if you don't want the web interface).  *shrug*

No "fooling" of omsa needed....
