You should use the yum found on CD4.  It is there, just missing from the
comps file and since up2date as shipped by RH will use yum but doesn't
need it, it didn't have a dependency.

This is as it should be. /etc/yum.repos.d/ is where the specifics on
each repo live now.  It should be populated with wbelmirrors.yum which
whitebox-release included.
