[WBEL-users] Back and building packages

Ok, finally managed to find enough time to get to the bottom of the
build problems. The batch of srpms that were in the queue when the
build environment was declared unsafe have now been hatched along with a
new db4 package.

For those who haven't been following closely, db4 was the package that
eventually exposed the flaws in the build environment. db4-java is back
so if you had previously uninstalled it be sure to manually add it back
after you run up2date/yum/etc.

Now, as to getting everything else back on track. Here is the order I'm
intending to attack things.

1. Get the errata for 3.0 caught up. Most of our hosts are running 3.0
and I suspect the majority of production boxes on WBEL are as well so
getting it up to scratch comes first.

2. Do the same for WBEL4, along with fixing several problems that don't
originate from upstream.

3. Respin WBEL4. Some of the glitches really need to go into a fresh
set of ISO images, like the missing i386 packages causing OOo probems on
x86_64.

4. WBEL3 will wait for a respin until after the next RH Update.
Several posts on the taroon list lead to a belief this next one will be
the last to add new features. If true, Respin 3 of WBEL3 might be the
last one for awhile. WBEL3 could go to errata only unless the download
time for the errata gets insane or new hardware support is added that
needs to be on the boot media, but if we get down to just a neverending
stream of updated mozilla, ethereal and gaim packages the size will
stay managable and there won't be much reason to respin.
