With RHEL/Whitebox/CentOS You could always just use the boot.iso ( < 8 
MB ) and boot the machine with that - then install over-the-wire, with 
only required components being downloaded.

Or if you so want - get the ServerCD adaption of CentOS - and you get a 
minimum install out of a single CD.
